Brent Faiyaz is back with a new seasonal track. The DMV native has released “Full Moon (Fall in Tokyo)” via his label ISO Supremacy/UnitedMasters.

On the scenic track, Faiyaz sings about the rush of a romantic moment that he wishes he could linger in longer.

“Just like I been looking for you all year long / Have you been looking for me as well? / Am I onto something or am I wrong? Only time will tell,” he sings. “I wanna keep you here with me / And do some things you won’t believе.”

“Full Moon (Fall in Tokyo)” follows Faiyaz’s double single release of “Peter Pan” and “Tony Soprano,” which dropped July 4. All three tracks are expected to appear on his third album, ICON, which is reportedly scheduled to release Sept. 19.

Faiyaz teased the release date in an Instagram post showing him reading a fictional newspaper, The ISO Times, with the album title in large font and a graphic displaying “9.19.” It’s worth noting that Faiyaz has not officially announced the release date.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Faiyaz shared, “Everything I’m creating right now is about showing [a] range of concepts, principles, emotions, and experiences. Innocence versus Indecency. Vulnerability versus guardedness. These tracks capture the core of that.”

ICON is the follow-up to Faiyaz’s 2022 album, WASTELAND, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts.

WASTELAND included the multi-platinum singles “All Mine,” “Dead Man Walking,” and “Gravity” featuring Tyler, The Creator.

As indicated above, “Full Moon (Fall in Tokyo)” is Faiyaz’s third song to pair a season with a city in its title. In July 2019, he dropped “F*ck The World (Summer in London)” and returned in September with “Rehab (Winter In Paris).” Both tracks appeared on his 2020 EP, F*ck The World.
