Bryson Tiller is ready to get the ball rolling for his double album, Solace & The Vices.

The Grammy-nominated artist has announced that the first installment, The Vices, will release Aug. 8 via Trapsoul/RCA Records. The upcoming project will lean more into his rap side (think: “Rambo” and “Whatever She Wants”).

“With The Vices I decided to get rid of my Vices completely and prove to myself that I didn’t need Weed, Alcohol, and all the other shenanigans to have FUN. I’ve been sober ever since. (Still tryna figure out how to look like I enjoy the club tho lol),” Tiller wrote in an Instagram post.

The Vices will include production by Charlie Heat, Teddy Walton, Hitmaka, and Gravez.

After The Vices, Tiller will release the R&B-leaning Solace later this year. “When I was writing Solace my number one goal was to treat it like therapy and say exactly what was on my mind, finding comfort during my times of sadness. That felt good,” he shared in the same post.

According to Tiller, this is a “TRUE double album and not just 20+ songs that I wanted to share.”

Tiller is currently supporting Chris Brown on his Breezy Bowl XX Tour. The North American leg launched July 30 in Miami, with upcoming stops in Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta and more.

Tiller also joined Brown on his new single “It Depends,” which samples Usher’s “Nice & Slow.” Before that, he teamed with Tink on her Hitmaka-produced single “Can We Talk?”

Solace & The Vices follows Tiller’s self-titled album, which was released in 2024. The project included popular tracks such as “Whatever She Wants,” “Outside,” “Calypso” and “Caio!”

In a 2024 interview with Complex, Tiller told the publication that his self-titled album could be his last project for a while.

“I would love for this one [Bryson Tiller] to be the last one for a while. I’ve been saying that regardless if it performs well or not,” Tiller said. “This is probably gonna be my last one for a minute. I just want to take a hiatus because my No. 1 passion is video games.”

Even though he’s changed his mind since then and is on tour, Tiller has been building up his video game design company, Trapsoul Games. The company’s first game, Brutal Industry, is scheduled to release in 2026.
