British-Nigerian R&B singer Samm Henshaw has teamed with Tori Kelly for his new single “Find My Love,” out via AWAL Recordings.
On the Anoop D’Souza and Josh Grant production, Henshaw and Kelly’s impassioned harmonies float over balmy acoustic flourishes. Throughout the soul-stirring track, they remind their partners that their love is always close, no matter the season.
“You can always / Find my love / You ain’t gotta search too hard, you can always / Find my love / Whether near or far,” they sing in the chorus.
Speaking on “Find My Love,” Henshaw shares, “I had this song for a while before Josh and I got the idea to reach out to Tori. She came in and instantly loved it. She gave it everything it needed and I’m excited for the world to finally hear our song. This is a new era, it’s just beginning. I hope you all love this song as much as we do.”
Kelly comments, “Samm and I have known each other for 10 years now. We toured together and became fast friends, keeping in touch over the years. So when Samm asked me to come by the studio, it was so easy to just get right into it and create something truly special.”
“Find My Love” is Henshaw’s first single since his EP For Someone Somewhere Who Isn’t Us, released Aug. 2, 2024. The six-track project included “Troubled Ones” and his KIRBY-assisted “Fade.”
“It was just almost like this project to me feels more like a lesson,” Henshaw said of the latter EP. “Look, as creatives, as people just in the world, all these little things apply to all of us in the same way and it’s just about really figuring out, pushing forward and pushing yourself beyond maybe your comfort zone, pushing yourself beyond whatever your limits may be, but not being afraid to take that step.”
As for Kelly, the mother-to-be released her new single “Make A Baby” with Lucky Daye in late August.
