R&B duo dvsn has released their new song “Don’t Take Your Love.” It’s the third offering from their forthcoming album, Working On My Karma, out Oct. 28 via OVO Sound/Warner Records.

On “Don’t Take Your Love,” vocalist Daniel Daley holds himself accountable, as he comes clean about his bad-boy player faults in his relationship.

Sonically, this reflective R&B cut invites comparisons to early ’70s balladeers without sounding the least bit overplayed. As Daley writes his wrongs to a scorned lover, it becomes increasingly clear that he can make grown-man music.

Working On My Karma is dvsn’s fourth studio album overall and the follow-up to their acclaimed 2020 album A Muse in Her Feelings. The new LP will delve into “a new level of honesty and growth,” according to Daley, who spoke with Rated R&B in an August interview.

Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Bryan-Michael Cox added, “We wanted to do something that would delve deeper into the ups and downs of being an artist in a relationship — and what men go through in relationships in general. There’s the part where you get your ego broken. There’s a part where you fall in love. There’s all these different elements.”

Dvsn’s producer Nineteen85 insisted the new album will explore “much broader ideas, sounds, and tempos” than their previous set, A Muse in Her Feelings. He added, “We went to a lot more places, but this is all one movie. Right now, you’re seeing the trailer.”

Working On My Karma will feature the controversial lead single “If I Get Caught,” as well as the Jagged Edge-assisted “What’s Up.”

After dropping the new single “Don’t Take Your Love,” dvsn released the official tracklist for Working On My Karma. It consists of 12 songs, including the three named above.
