Emerging singer Col3trane has released his new single, “Astrology Joint,” produced by Alex Naim and Lophiile.
On “Astrology Joint,” Col3trane sings about sharing a deep conversation with a new woman that thrives on the workings of the stars and planets. While much of it’s going over his head, he’s still fascinated, though, suggesting she’s unlike anyone he’s ever encountered.
“When I’m high, you take me higher / You know my secrets and desires / Got that flame, now feed the fire, baby / But I need some reassurance / I hope when the moon goes, that you don’t go / Don’t go,” he sings.
Col3trane describes “Astrology Joint” as “a conversational song about women who are into astrology captivating men that don’t understand it.”
He adds, “Astrology in essence is quite mysterious and intriguing, and most men are baffled by it until pushed in the right direction.”
“Astrology Joint” is the first offering from Col3trane since releasing his debut album Lush Life in May.
The album featured the singles “Bag” featuring Lucky Daye and “Plus Minus” with Erick the Architect.
Col3trane said the title of his album, Lush Life, was inspired by a jazz standard written by renowned composer Billy Strayhorn.
“The song tells a story of being lost in the night and the excess and loneliness of city life, which is definitely something I talk about on this album. The plasticity and uncertainty of the world we live in. But how we’re still yearning to live this Lush Life,” he explained.
