Ciara’s new single “How We Roll” featuring Chris Brown has made a debut on multiple Billboard charts this week.

The smooth groove opens at No. 3 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart, behind Halle’s “Angel” (No. 2) and Usher’s “Good Good” with Summer Walker and 21 Savage (No. 1).

It marks Ciara’s ninth top 10 hit on this chart (out of 18 entries), while it’s Brown’s 48th top 10 (out of 77 entries). Ciara’s top 10 hits on the R&B Digital Sales chart include:

  • “Level Up,” No. 1 peak (2019)
  • “Body Party,” No. 3 peak (2013)
  • “I’m Out” featuring Nicki Minaj, No. 3 peak (2013)
  • “Thinkin’ Bout You,” No. 3 peak (2019)
  • “How We Roll” with Chris Brown, No. 3 peak so far (2023)
  • “Jump” featuring Coast Contra, No. 4 peak (2022)
  • “I Bet,” No. 5 peak, (2015)
  • “Dose,” No. 9 peak (2018)
  • “Freak Me” featuring Tekno, No. 10 peak (2018)

Elsewhere on Billboard, “How We Roll” debuts at No. 7 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales, No. 9 on Hot R&B Songs, and No. 24 on Digital Song Sales.

“How We Roll” was released Aug. 4 on Ciara’s imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment. The dance-packed video has 6.6 million views and counting on YouTube.

“How We Roll” is the lead single from Ciara’s upcoming EP, CiCi, due Aug. 18. The seven-track offering will include additional features from rappers Lil Baby and Big Freedia.

CiCi will not include the Grammy winner’s previously shared tracks “Da Girls,” “Better Thangs” with Summer Walker and “Jump” featuring Coast Cantra. She has yet to confirm if these songs will appear on a future album or if they will remain standalone tracks.

Days after announcing her new project, Ciara revealed that she and her husband Russell Wilson are expecting their third child together.

The baby on the way will soon become part of the expanding Wilson family, joining Future (named after his rapper father), Sienna, and Win.
