Directed by Dave Meyers, the spirited video opens with Ciara and the WSSU cheerleading squad performing a saucy routine. She is then transported under a highway bridge where she rapidly shakes her ass while the cars behind her spring in the air.

Throughout the video, Ciara shows off about 14 different looks in various settings. From a rooftop to a beach, there’s no place where Ciara can’t make her ‘thang jump.’ Ciara even pays tribute to some of her past iconic videos such as “Goodies,” “Oh” and “Get Up.” You’ll have to watch to see what nuggets she included in the “Jump” video.

“Jump” is the first single from Ciara’s forthcoming eighth album that will release on Uptown Records/Republic Records, in partnership with her imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment. Last month, Ciara announced her new deal with the labels.

“I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment,” Ciara said.

“Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists.”

Wendy Goldstein, co-president of Republic Records, added, “I’ve been a fan of Ciara forever. Working with her has been a dream, and she’s making some of the most powerful, undeniable, and innovative music of her entire career now. This is an incredible creative chapter for her, and we’re all excited to be part of it.”

Ciara’s next album will follow 2019’s Beauty Marks, which she released independently on Beauty Marks Entertainment. The album included her hit single “Level Up,” which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more than one million units sold.
