South London native Jaz Karis has tapped Grammy-nominated singer Kenyon Dixon for her “LYTM (Remix).”

The Camper-produced track, which stands for “Love You That Much,” is a poignant realization of knowing when to love someone from a distance.

Dixon appears in the second verse, singing, “I figured I’d get out your way, let you spread your wings Just want what’s best for you, girl Love you too much, so I let you be, yeah.” He and Karis harmonize throughout the rest of the bittersweet track.

Speaking on his contribution, Dixon shares, “It was already such a beautifully connected and emotional record, so I wanted to honor that depth. My verse reflects the struggle of realizing that sometimes the best way to love someone is to step back, even when it hurts.”

The original version of “LYTM” appears on Karis’ debut album, Safe Flight, released in September 2024 via MNRK Records.

In an interview with Rated R&B, Karis revealed, “After I wrote that song, I could not listen to it. I just get upset every time I listen to it. It was super deep for me.”

Safe Flight included the singles “Met You at a Bar” featuring Tone Stith, “Nice Girls” featuring Mahalia, “Tequila” featuring Reekado Banks, “Sunset Blvd” and “Chill on Me.”

Regarding her intention behind the album, Karis told Rated R&B, “I wanted to make sure every single song was true to what I felt and what had happened. It was from my point of view. There’s always two sides to a story, but I wanted it to feel authentic to anyone listening.”

Dixon has been on an incredible features run as of late, collaborating with Leela James (“Whatcha Done Now Remix“), ESTA. (“Outta Space“), Full Crate (“Bring It Back“), and TAVE (“Laid Back/Old Skool Chevy“) in 2024 alone.

Outside of collabs, Dixon released two EPs in 2024, including The R&B You Love: Soul of the ’70s and The R&B You Love: For the ’99 and 2000s. The former project included his Grammy-nominated single “Can I Have This Groove.”

Further, Dixon co-wrote 11 out of 18 tracks on Justin Timberlake’s Everything I Thought It Was, including “Drown” and “Paradise” featuring *NSYNC.

Dixon isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. On Feb. 27, Dixon and his daughter Isley-Rose Dixon performed the National Anthem at the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers game, where the latter team won 111-102.

He also hinted that new music is on the horizon. “Ego Ruins Everything— The Album,” Dixon posted on X (formerly Twitter). The forthcoming album is expected to arrive later this year.
