Maxwell is gearing up to set the summer ablaze with his long-awaited album blackSUMMERS’night. Set to arrive on July 1, the album will consist of 12 tracks including its lead single “Lake by the Ocean.”
“It’s been seven years in the making for this album and fourteen years collectively for the trilogy,” Maxwell said. “I can’t wait to share the album in its entirety.”
As fans anticipate the new project, Maxwell unveils the artwork and tracklisting. The cover art shows Maxwell, dressed in a black pinstriped suit, with his face in the palm of his hands.
Maxwell Performs ‘Lake by the Ocean’ on ‘The Late Show’
The 43-year-old singer has a lot to look forward to this year. He will perform at the 2016 BET Awards on June 28 in Los Angeles. On the day of his album release, he will perform at the 2016 Essence Festival. Aside from that, he will continue his summer tour up through August 7.
