Lizzo’s first-ever BET Awards performance was very sweet. At Sunday’s ceremony, the emerging act served the crowd icing on the cake as she performed her latest hit single “Truth Hurts.”
The fierce performance featured Lizzo and her bootylicious gang boasting high-energy moves. Lizzo received a standing ovation mid-set as she twerked to the beat of her own flute.
“Truth Hurts” is Lizzo’s very first top 20 hit on Billboard Hot 100. It appears on the deluxe version of her Cuz I Love You album.
The Hustlers co-star’s BET Awards performance is her second television award show performance this month. She delivered an epic performance of “Juice” at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
