Lizzo has the world at her fingertips. With her new album Cuz I Love You aiming for a top 10 debut, the multi-talented entertainer has more to scream about as she’s been tapped for strip club drama Hustlers.
Hustlers will be Lizzo’s first live-action cameo on the silver screen, and her second team up with STX. She shared her boisterous vocals to their upcoming animated musical, Uglydolls, which premieres globally in theaters on Friday, May 3.
Directed by Lorene Scafaria, Hustlers is inspired by 2015 New York Magazine piece written by Jessica Pressler and follows a gang of former dancers who join forces to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this dynamic group of women,” said Scafaria to Deadline. “We’re grateful to have assembled such a powerhouse cast.”
Back on the music front, Lizzo is tearing up the stage for the first leg of her Cuz I Love You Tour, with special guest Tayla Parx. She already announced a second run that will begin on September 7 in New Orleans. Tickets for the Cuz I Love You Too Tour on sale tomorrow, April 26.
