After a two-year wait, Chris Brown returns with his ninth studio album, Indigo, via Chris Brown Entertainment/RCA Records. Like its predecessor (Heartbreak on a Full Moon), the album runs over two hours with 32 tracks.

Brown collaborated with a diverse group of artists for the album, including H.E.R., Trey Songz, Tank, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, G-Eazy, Tory Lanez, Lil Jon, Juvenile, Juicy J, Gunna, Tyga and others.

In an Instagram post, Brown shared an image that explained the meaning of indigo. “The color of Indigo is the color of intuition and perception and is helpful in opening the third eye. It promotes deep concentration during times of introspection and meditation, helping you achieve deeper levels of consciousness. It is a color which relates to the ‘New Age’ — the ability to use the Higher Mind to see beyond the normal senses with great powers of perception.”

The Indigo album rollout launched in January with his Shanice-sampled single “Undecided.” The mid-tempo groove quickly made impact on the urban radio chart, reaching the top ten less than a month after its release. It also made an impact on the rhythmic radio chart. Brown added more steam to his promotional campaign in April when he released “Back to Love” and, a week later, “Wobble Up” featuring Nicki Minaj and G-Eazy. Earlier this month, he dropped his Drake-assisted single “No Guidance,” which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was his first top ten entry as a lead artist since 2014’s “Loyal” featuring Tyga.

Just two weeks leading up to Indigo, Brown kept his spirit of giving going with “Heat” featuring Gunna and “Don’t Check On Me” featuring Justin Bieber and Ink.

Brown will support his new album with is accompanying INGIGOAT Tour with special guests Ty Dolla $ign, Tory Lanez, Joyner Lucas and Yella Beezy. The 38-city tour will kick off on August 20 in Portland and will make stops in major cities across North America such as New Orleans, Brooklyn, New York, Boston, Chicago and Houston.
