You might want to sleep with one eye open from now on. According to Kimberly (a.k.a. K. Michelle) All Monsters Are Human. The Memphis native has confirmed the title for her fifth studio album, which is slated to arrive later this year.
On Monday night, Kimberly posted a psychedelic video on Instagram that featured her in a dark and sadistic state. Along with the enthralling visual, she offered a synopsis for the follow-up to 2017’s Kimberly: The People I Used to Know.
“We create our own monsters, then fear them for what they show us about our ourselves,” she wrote in her caption. “I could say I hate you, but I’ll just say you made a monster out of me.”
All Monsters Are Human is one of two albums coming from Kimberly. This R&B-driven studio effort, which could feature her buzz single “Save Me,” is the result of recording sessions with Rico Love, The Underdogs and other hitmakers. AMAH is expected to have a guest feature from rapper Kash Doll. The LP may also include the Faith Evans teased duet.
The second album up Kimberly’s sleeve is her long-overdue country record, which is finally in progress. The genre-bending artist has already traveled to Nashville for a couple of recording sessions.
In addition to the two albums, Kimberly is still planning to release her oft-delayed mixtape tentatively titled Still Forever Zero Fucks Given.
The build-up for Kimberly’s new music rollout is seemingly tied to her new appearance on season six of VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood. The new season premieres on Monday, August 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
