After much anticipation, Jagged Edge has finally delivered their 10th studio album, A Jagged Love Story, via their independent label Hardcase.
Packed with 31 tracks, all written by members Brian and Brandon Casey, A Jagged Love Story takes listeners on a two-hour journey through the ups and downs of a relationship.
The opening track, “Intro X Falling Out of Love,” is a signal that there is a lot of baggage that will be unpacked on the emotional trip. “Glitchin” finds the gents reminiscing on a past love. “Since you took that love away / I’m glitching,” they sing as they try to come to terms with what went wrong.
“Seasons of Us,” produced by Bryan-Michael Cox, is a standout tune about a love that is unbreakable. From weathering any storm that may pop up to soaking up the sunny days, they are down for their respective partner no matter what. The album also includes the previously released tracks “Closest Thing to Perfect,” “Genie” and “Decided.”
In an Instagram post, the group shared their excitement about finally getting their new album out to their die-ard fans. “There are so many that have been down as we began this independent journey, the trials, successes, false starts and victories you have been there. We thank each and every one of you,” they wrote.
A Jagged Love Story is the follow-up to the R&B quartet’s 2017 LP, Layover.
