Kali Uchis shares her imagination of the afterlife in the video for “Get Up,” which is lifted from her debut album, Isolation.
Styled in a velvet midnight blue gown, the singer attends her funeral where she takes one last look at her body before she crosses into the afterlife. Uchis spends eternity dancing in the rain and floating in a pool.
“Get Up” is the latest single from Uchis’ debut album Isolation, which was released in April. “The basis of the album is that nobody is perfect, but that a lot of us just pretend more than others,” Uchis said.
Uchis supported Isolation at this year’s Coachella with a performance of “After the Storm” with Tyler, the Creator.
