VanJess put their man in the driver’s seat on their new song titled “Control Me.” On the amorous track, produced by IAMNOBODI, the sister duo experience conflicting thoughts on whether to let their men run the show or not.
“Don’t want to depend on you, don’t want to feel even if it is real,” they sing. “Make a nigga want to fall / Say you want to control me, control me.”
“Control Me” is the latest sampling from their debut album, Silk Canvas, due July 27 via Keep Cool. The LP will include a trio of previously released songs: “Through Enough” featuring GoldLink, “Addicted” and “Touch the Floor” featuring Masego.
The album’s production credits will feature the likes of Kaytranada, Da-P, IAmNoBodi, Scribz Riley and Jay Kurzweil, to name a few.
