It’s about time. Ella Mai has confirmed her self-tiled debut album will be released on October 12.
The British singer broke the album date news on social media on Friday (Sept. 21), inviting her fans to pre-order the impending release. In addition to sharing the release date, Mai unveiled the cover artwork that shows her sporting big hair and a light pink fur.
Mai’s self-titled effort, executive produced by DJ Mustard, is expected to include hit singles “Boo’d Up” and “Trip,” which recently entered the top 10 on urban radio.
“You can hear the growth from my EP’s into this project,” said Mai to Billboard earlier this year. “Content-wise, it’s a bit more mature. It’s still me and, like the EP’s, still about love and relationships. There are definitely some collaborations but I can’t share those just yet.”
