Bobby V is putting his name in the hat for the controversial title King of R&B. The smooth singer unveiled a stinging, braggadocios track called “King Me.”
On the bold track, Bobby V makes major declarations about his contributions to music. He even cites politics as the reason he doesn’t have a Grammy. One of the more bombastic moments of the song comes in quickly after his snub claim.
“Ain’t never had a hand-me-down/ Aborting these dollars like Plan B,” he states as he smoothly rides the beat.
“King Me” is the second official track from the King of R&B debate. It follows Eric Bellinger’s “King” record that contained its own share of boasting lyrics.
In March, Bobby V released his Electrik album. The 13-track project included “Lil Bit” with Snoop Dogg, “Beautiful Life” and “Love Me Slow.”
