Elle Varner has a new single on the way featuring rapper Wale. While attending the 2018 Urban One Honors in Washington, D.C., the singer spoke to Rated R&B about “Pour Me,” the follow-up single to her acoustic release “Loving U Blind.”
“It’s a double entendre about being a poor girl who’s lost the love she wants. So, pour her another,” Varner gushes over the new record. “It has that ’90s feel. It has these hard drums and chords that are just so tickling. It’s me on a thousand.”
“Pour Me” could possibly be the new single that Varner was seeking a music video love interest for. And from the early details on the new track, it signals a potential hit.
In January 2019, Varner will be hitting the road with Marsha Ambrosius as a special guest. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (Dec.21).
