Still on a high from earning five Grammy nominations, H.E.R made a special in-studio appearance for an episode of COLORS. The mysterious singer performed “Carried Away” from I Used to Know Her: Part 2 EP.
No stranger to vocally demanding songs, the Oakland native demonstrated her beautiful range a singer. She had no issues maneuvering around all the embellishments, even appearing to lose herself in the middle of the song because of the ease. It was also interesting to see how her body instinctively plays the guitar when one is absent.
H.E.R.’s wonderful COLORS performance follows her whimsical solo Tiny Desk appearance, where she performed “Focus” and a few other songs.
