Teyana Taylor is completely in driver’s seat of her K.T.S.E. era these days. After releasing a Wu-Mix for her fan-favorite single “Gonna Love Me,” she drops a supporting visual for the hood classic.
Taking the role as director, Taylor explores an unraveling love affair with her on-screen boyfriend Ghostface Killah. It starts with her discovering a second phone that she isn’t aware that he possesses. She calls him out, but he isn’t giving into her hostile antics easily. Taylor storms out the love nest and sings her pain on the streets of New York City. With the exception of Raekwon, Ghostface and Method Man are seen in the clip, spitting their verses about the love jones they have for their special women. The rhymes aren’t enough because things take a turn for the worse at the end.
Taylor, who was recently saluted at the 2018 Urban One Honors, premiered the original “Gonna Love Me” video last month.
