H.E.R. just gets better and better every time we see her live. The multi-Grammy nominated artist dropped in on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Tuesday night (Jan. 8) to perform “Carried Away.”
Dressed down in spunky gear, the elusive singer-songwriter rocked the Stage 56 audience with her mellifluous cadences and impassioned musicianship.
Following her performance, the 21-year-old entertainer spoke to Corden about how she learned she was nominated for five Grammys this year. She also elaborated on her stage name, which stands for “Having Everything Revealed.” The inspiration behind her alias came after she thought she would never be that girl who experienced life-altering changes such as heartbreak.
H.E.R. was seen getting “Carried Away” for an episode of COLORS in December. This year, you can see her at Coachella 2019, performing music from her two 2018 EPs — I Used to Know Her: The Prelude and Part 2. The projects landed her a top 10 spot on Rated R&B’s 25 best R&B projects of 2018.
