Sia Amun has released new music for late-night Bedroom Sessions.
On her new five-track EP, the singer-songwriter recruits emerging rappers Jay Osler and PutYaHeartInIt to contribute to the seductive vibes. Though Amun’s new project doesn’t include her 2018 release “Single AF,” it does put you in the mind of her Blue Dream Project, which dropped in 2017.
Speaking on Bedroom Sessions, Amun mentioned the project was inspired by a video series she started on Instagram to give her followers an in-depth look at her writing process from her bedroom.
“I started my bedroom sessions to get out of my own head and create freely again, without judgment or putting myself in a box,” she said in a statement. “I decided to record the sessions live to show what it’s like to create a song and also to break the barriers of all my insecurities.”
Amun spoke about overcoming her inner feelings in her interview with Rated R&B last summer. “My experiences…where I’m at… I’m maturing. My wants are changing. My interests are changing. My conversation is changing. My taste in foods is changing. I’m really a woman now,” she shared.
