As Kehlani prepares to give birth to her baby girl, the 23-year-old singer has dropped While We Wait, an interim project for her die-hard fans.
For the mixtape, which she completed in a month, she tapped on many loved ones like 6LACK, Musiq Soulchild, Dom Kennedy and Ty Dolla $ign. The nine-track collection of deep cuts and bops includes “Butterfly,” “Nights Like This” and “Nunya.” She just shared a wintertime video for the last song.
While We Wait is the first offering from Kehlani since 2017’s SweetSexySavage. Prior to releasing her latest mixtape, Kehlani appeared on the Jessie Reyez’ “Body Count (Remix)” with Normani and the A Wrinkle in Time soundtrack.
