Jacob Banks Nails Bluesy Performance of ‘Slow Up’ in London

Jacob Banks knows how to command attention. As part of his partnership with YouTube Music’s Artist on the Rise program, the rich-voiced crooner performs “Slow Up” at Roundhouse London.

The performance starts with Banks rolling his head and neck around before he stepped to the microphone. The stage becomes more dark with purple tint as he bares each note of the time-lag ballad. Chilling notes and drums from his band accompany his bluesy tone while the audience stands silently in amazement.

Banks has joined forces with the Artist on the Rise program on two other occasions. He belted “Caroline” in a pool locker room and filmed a music video for his “Love Ain’t Enough (Remix)” with the Ghetts.

Banks is about to wrap up his North American tour in support of his Village debut. The album was featured on Rated R&B’s top 25 R&B albums of 2018.

Watch his beautiful performance below.
