Jagged Edge is back! On their new single, written by Brian and Brandon Casey (of JE), the R&B quartet feasts their eyes on a woman they proclaim is the “Closet Thing to Perfect.”
A Spanish-style guitar opens the divine mid-tempo tune as Jagged Edge’s smooth voices get ready to come in. While the group uses their signature vocal stylings to praise their lady as a masterpiece, they adapt to the current wave of trap soul, too.
“Closet Thing to Perfect” is the first offering from Jagged Edge’s forthcoming album, due later this year.
In 2017, the group released their surprise album, Layover. Three years prior, Jagged Edge put out their number-one R&B album, JE Heartbreak II. The project included their top 20 R&B hits “Hope” and “Love Me Down.”
