Teyana Taylor a.k.a. Spike Tee is a genius at recreating nostalgic moments in Black culture. The forward-thinking entertainer has dropped a captivating video for her K.T.S.E. track, “Issues/Hold On.”
The romantic picture takes place in the ’70s when Afros were in and bell-bottom pants were popping. Taylor and her on-camera husband A$AP Rocky are seen in marital bliss in various shots that feature cameos from hitmakers Tyler, the Creator and ASAP Ferg. But everything that glitters isn’t always gold.
Starring as a lead singer of an all-girl quartet, Taylor puts her pain on front street during rehearsals and performances after noticing Rocky had a wandering eye for another woman. He makes up for his adulterous behavior, though.
Earlier this year, Taylor gave us complete LIFE with her star-studded, LGBT ballroom-themed visual for the sickening track “WTP.” She also delivered videos for the original and remix versions of “Gonna Love Me.”
