Amber Mark is a simple girl. Her only request is that you keep her lit all night, which she translates on her rocking new single titled “Mixer.”
Mark’s charismatic vocal approach breathes life into the lyrics of the racy record that details her fixations to the love-making talents of a no-good guy. Even though her friends explain to her that he’ll make her heart bleed, she can’t leave him alone because his “love is so nasty.”
Speaking on the creation of the record, Mark discusses her writing session with an Oscar award-winning songwriter. “After seeing me perform at Soho House, Andrew Wyatt felt inspired to write me a track to dance to,” shared Mark in a statement “As soon as he sent it over I couldn’t sit still. It was so inspiring to write with him.”
Her uncontrollable dance moves poured into the official music video for “Mixer.” The Luke Davies-directed video shows Mark strutting her stuff on the streets of a retro town while a heap of men lust over her runaway walk and chic look. She had a bodyguard tag along for the stroll who protected her from their wandering eyes.
“Mixer” is Mark’s first sign of music for 2019. With promise of more new music soon, she continues to work on her much-anticipated follow-up to her 2018 EP Conexão.
Mark is slated to play at Governors Ball Music Festival, which will be held on May 31-June 2, 2019 at Randall’s Island Park in New York City.
