Kaytranada and VanJess can do no wrong together. Their woozy new collaboration “Dysfunctional” is a testament to their surreal chemistry on wax.
The sister duo outlines their frustrations about a broken bond that has caused each of them a great deal of stress and drama from their significant other. Interestingly enough, with all the chaos going on in their relationships, VanJess reveal they fight and “don’t know why.”
“Dysfunctional” is the second pairing between VanJess and Kaytranada. Their work started with house-jam “Another Lover,” which appears on the duo’s debut album, Silk Canvas. We featured the disc on our top 25 R&B albums of 2018 list.
VanJess recently premiered a stunning visual for “Honeywheat.” They also dropped a remix compilation for “Addicted” before making an SNL appearance with Khalid.
As for Kaytranada, he is gearing up for his two-night show at Coachella 2019. He will be taking the stage to thrill audiences with music from his 99.9% album and his 2018 EP NOTHIN LIKE U / CHANCES.
While we wait for Kaytranada to deliver on his 2019 album promise, the gusty musician will continue playing more festivals this year. He is on the performance bill for the Governors Ball Music Festival in May, the Parklife Festival in June, and the Made in America Festival on Labor Day weekend, among others.
