Just in time for before the release of Beauty Marks on May 10, Ciara will take the stage at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
The superstar announced that she will perform her bubbly new single “Thinkin Bout You” for the first time on television. Elated by the lineup news, Ciara posted on Instagram that she couldn’t find “no emoji” to describe her feelings of excitement.
Khalid, Normani, and Sam Smith were previously announced as performers for the awards ceremony. The first crooner is expected to bless the stage with a jam or two from his Free Spirit album. Meanwhile, the Keep Cool Records signee is teaming up with Smith for a live version of their smash hit “Dancing With a Stranger.”
Mariah Carey will also grace this year’s BBMAs as both a performer and an award winner. The chanteuse is set to take home the Icon Award for her contributions to pop culture.
Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the 2019 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1 at 8 p.m. EST.
