Khalid isn’t the only one who wants to “Talk.” The R&B newbie has turned his Free Spirit hit into a three-way conversation with rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Yo Gotti for the official “Talk (Remix).”
Megan opens the Disclosure-produced track with flirty bars that find her bantering about her man loving her sexy “lingo.” Thee Stallion even tries her hand, providing some melody with a sensual verse.
Once Khalid chats on the chorus and renders his two original verses, he clicks over and adds Yo Gotti on the call to spit his verse. The Memphis rapper rhymes about his love quarrel with bae. While they argue, he asks her if she “wanna eat steak or eat Waffle House?” Gotti’s goal is to make her happy because he doesn’t want to deal with her dad, who’s a cop.
“Talk” is one of many bops from Khalid’s hot new album. He celebrated his soon-to-be number-one album with a carefree visual for the title track.
In other news, the Grammy-nominated crooner is rehearsing for his upcoming Coachella set, along with his performance gig for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
To top it off, Khalid is getting ready for his first-ever North American headlining arena tour. The multi-city tour, which will be supported by Clairo, starts on June 20 in Phoenix.
