Just weeks after joining forces to form duo 199∞, Jordin Sparks and Elijah Blake have returned this New Music Friday to rep for the golden age of R&B.
For the joint EP 1990 Forever, the pair mesh their equally flawless cadences for a project that reflects on a decade in music yet progressing it to the future. The four-track project features just the two R&B stars and includes their previously released collaboration “Real Love.”
1990 Forever follows Blake’s two 2018 projects: Bijoux 23 and Realm (as KaraJishi). Meanwhile, it’s Sparks’ first release since her 2015 album Right Here Right Now.
Sparks is currently reading lines for her lead role in Freeform’s upcoming new sitcom, Besties.
