The secret is out. The Internet’s keyboardist and singer Matt Martians is one of the two members dropping a new solo album this year.
His sophomore album The Last Party is coming out this Friday, April 26. Martians steps to the front door with his new single “Knock, Knock.”
On the spacey, ‘70s inspired record, the founder of The Internet professes his feelings to a special lady. However, it doesn’t seem to be reciprocated since she won’t let him in — figuratively.
“Knock, knock, is she home? / Mental whereabouts are unknown / No one upstairs in her home / Don’t care what she says, don’t make no sense,” he sings concernedly on the hook.
The Last Party is the follow-up to Martians’ 2017 debut, The Drum Chord Theory. The album featured his two singles “Diamond in Da Ruff” and “Dent Jusay.”
Considering his fellow bandmate Steve Lacy dropped his new song “N Side” earlier this month, his solo album could be next on the docket.
