Emerging singer-songwriter Jae Stephens is too smart to get hypnotized by the smooth charm of guys, and test out her curve game on “Got it Like That.”
The spellbinding tune finds Stephens shutting down the advances of one-minute men in one breath, singing, “I’m a once-in-a-lifetime, but they want it only one night / So, I leave ‘em at a red light, peace sign, goodbye.”
“Got it Like That,” solely written and produced by Stephens, is the lead single from her upcoming EP that is due later this year. The new song follows her Shy Girls-produced single “Long Way to Go,” which she released last fall.
Stephens recently sang background vocals for Khalid on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, with sister duo VanJess.
