After much-hyped build up for her major label debut Cuz I Love You, Lizzo gets another push for promotion. Dubbed MTV’s May breakout artist, the rising act served as the musical guest for their Push series.
Fitted in a black pinstripe look and swinging a high ponytail, Lizzo performed something old and something new for the jammed-packed crowd of screaming fans. She kicked off her set with the pulp-free track “Juice” from her new album, before belting “Good As Hell” from her Coconut Oil EP, which was released in October 2016.
Lizzo’s majestic voice can be heard in the new Kelly Asbury-directed animation, Ugly Dolls, which stars the voice of Janelle Monáe and Kelly Clarkson. Contrary to this plush toy film, Lizzo has been cast in the strip club drama Hustlers alongside Keke Palmer and Jennifer Lopez.
Lizzo is currently playing for fans on the first leg of her Cuz I Love You Tour with special guest Tayla Parx. The entertainer will launch the second run on September 7 in New Orleans.
In October, Lizzo will work the stage at the 2019 Austin City Limits Festival.
