As we anticipate the release of BJ the Chicago Kid’s sophomore album, he premiered the new track “Reach” featuring Afrojack on July 2.
From the first second, BJ’s pristine harmonies take lead, accompanied by a thumping kick drum and gentle piano chords. With the lightly layered production, it allows him to shine throughout the song. The track is a bit different than the sound we’re familiar hearing from BJ but his stellar vocals sound amazing on any production.
Leading up to the release, BJ dropped the video for “Worryin’ Bout Me” feat Offset in June, giving fans more than enough to hold them over. His previously released song “Time Today” will be on the album as well.
His new album 1123 will be available on July 26 via Motown Records.
