The end of a relationship isn’t always pretty, but Mereba has a beautiful way of capturing it in the stunningly poetic visual for “Sandstorm” featuring JID.
Directed by Dawit N.M., the visual wrestles between black-and-white and color shots to match the song’s melancholy feel. Mereba and her lover are seen in the throes as their romance comes to a bitter end. A shirtless JID also makes an appearance in a colored scene of the video.
“Sandstorm” shows up on Mereba’s debut album, The Jungle is the Only Way Out, which was released in February.
Last week, Mereba lent her raspy voice to the Dreamville and J. Cole compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers III. The project features appearances from Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla $ign, T.I., Baby Rose, DaBaby, Dreezy, Saba, Buddy and more.
