Tone Stith is only interested in love if it’s genuine. The emerging singer/songwriter kicks off the first Tone Tuesday installment of July with a new song titled “If You Love Me.”
Much more interested in actions than words, Stith adopts some Michael Jackson-inspired scatting techniques to craft an enormously fresh record that challenges his lady to trust that he’s sincere in his romantic approach.
Since rebooting his Tone Tuesday series, Stith has dropped a number of unreleased tracks, including “All I Got” and “Inside.” He also hopped on Mikhala Jené’s “Stay (Remix).”
Stith, who is celebrating his 24th birthday later this month, is featured in the liner notes of Chris Brown’s new album, Indigo, as a co-writer and background vocalist. He also is working on a nearly complete follow-up project to his 2018 EP Good Company.
On September 14, Stith will play at H.E.R.’s inaugural Lights On Festival.
