Ty Dolla $ign served as the musical guest on Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The West Coast maverick lite up Studio 6-B with his very first performance of “Purple Emoji.”

Accompanied by a killer band and a floating cross on the stage backdrop and flooring, Ty serenaded the audience with his melodic tones.

He soon transitioned the serene setting into a dance party. Joined by two female dancers, the hitmaker debuted an up-tempo banger titled “Hottest in the City,” which features Juicy J as the hype man.

Ty, who appears on Dreamville and J. Cole’s Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation album, is preparing to release his follow-up to Beach House 3. He mentioned the new album will contain “a lot more serious songs.”

Leading up to his forthcoming album, Ty will be on the road for Chris Brown’s INDIGOAT Tour. The North American leg launches on August 20 in Portland. Tory Lanez, Joyner Lucas, and Yella Beezy are also tapped as special guests for the 38-city run.

Watch the performance below.
