Cautious Clay has a knack for soundtracks. After lending his voice to the soundtrack for season three of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, the innovative artist has been tapped for EA Sports’ FIFA 20 compilation album due on September 27.
On his radical tune “Erase,” Clay takes drastic measures to live outside of the social media bubble. The instrumental of this rebellious track has a post-punk edge, but his expressive vocals are in the alt-R&B pocket.
Clay released a quirky, emoji-filled music video to compliment the new score. You can see it above.
On October 24, Clay will kick off his massive world tour to support his Table of Context EP. The trek begins overseas in Cologne, Germany and wraps up on November 9 in Reykjavík, Ireland.
On November 13, he will return to the states and perform his first show at the House of Blues in New Orleans. He will play additional shows across the nation before making his final stop in Philadelphia on December 14. Tickets are on sale now.
Clay is working on his official debut album, which he hopes to release in early 2020. His dream collaboration for the album is André 3000.
“Man, I just always found a really strong infinity for what André [3000] was doing, but also I feel like Outkast was just so free-spirited in their creative process,” said Clay to Rated R&B in March.
