Janet Jackson loves to give her fans a show. A month after completing her Metamorphosis residency in Las Vegas, the global superstar has announced show dates to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her landmark album Rhythm Nation.
The anniversary tour will consist of 10 stops around the world with the first beginning at Treasure Island Amphitheater on September 14 in Welch, Minnesota. Jackson will perform one more show in the U.S. on September 21 before taking the special concert to Australia for a five-date residency in November.
She will perform the final three shows in Auckland, New Zealand and Honolulu. The latter dates are also in November.
Rhythm Nation, which turns 30 on September 19, was shelved on double black vinyl for the first time in July. The newly released edition contains rare recordings, including interludes and unaltered tracks that were omitted from the original vinyl release.
Jackson also reissued vinyls for 1993’s janet., 1997’s The Velvet Rope, and 2001’s All For You.
