We weren’t ready! Just when you thought the original version of BJ The Chicago‘s 1123 single “Time Today” couldn’t get any better, he borrows time from Ari Lennox for the official remix and delivers another ear-pleasing moment.
Starting the emotive serenade with his verse from the original, BJ opens the floor for Lennox to go off about giving in to her man’s bedroom advances in the second verse. Her raspy singing voice against BJ’s gospel-tinged harmonies is a match made in heaven.
“Time Today” is the first record from the 1123 era to get remix treatment. The track is also the lead single off BJ’s newest album, which is out now. The song has more than 2.6 million streams on Spotify.
