The hippest trip in America made a stop in Las Vegas on Sunday for the 2019 Soul Train Awards. Hosted by Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell for the second year, BET aired the ceremony live for the first time at the Orleans Arena.
While the performances had us singing to the TV screen, the award recipients were just as exciting. Gospel powerhouse Yolanda Adams was presented with the Lady of Soul Awards and dynamic super-producer duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were bestowed with the Legend Award.
Nominated for eight awards, Chris Brown swept the categories for winning the most awards. He won Song of The Year, Best Dance Performance and Best Collaboration for “No Guidance” featuring Drake.
