In collaboration with ESPN, India.Arie has contributed her enormous vocal talent to the 84th Masters Tournament with a cover of “Georgia on My Mind” by legacy artist Ray Charles.
With a subtle piano arrangement leading the way, the Grammy winner takes on this grand standard with tender love and sweetness.
Arie doesn’t shy away from evoking the traditional soul that has made her endeared by many. In other words, the late icon would be proud.
Teeing off on April 9, the 2020 Masters Tournament will be held at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The championship series is set to conclude on April 12.
In other Arie-related news, the soulstress landed various award nominations for her first-ever Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart-topper “Steady Love,” including a 2020 Best Traditional R&B Performance nod. Her 2019 album Worthy also earned a celebrated position on Rated R&B’s 30 R&B Albums of 2019 list.
