Jessie Reyez says what she means and means what she says. The Canadian singer has released a new breakup anthem titled “Ankles.”
On the kiss-off track, Reyez tells her former lover that he won’t find another woman that is on her level.
“Lights out, strikeout, I doubt / You’ll ever find anyone / These bitches can’t measure up / To my ankles,” she sings on the braggadocious tune.
Reyez mentioned on Instagram that “Ankles” is her “favorite song.” It is lifted from her debut album, Before Love Came to Kill Us, which drops on March 27 via FMLY/Island Records.
It will also include previously released songs “Love in the Dark,” “Imported” featuring 6LACK, “Crazy” and her breakout hit “Figures.”
Reyez will support her new album with a spring tour that kicks off on April 12 in Indio, California. Before her headlining tour begins, Reyez will join pop sensation Billie Eilish on her Where Do We Go World Tour starting on March 9.
