The Weeknd is officially back. The Canadian singer has returned with his new album titled After Hours via XO Records/Republic Records.
The 14-track LP includes The Weeknd’s platinum singles “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.” The latter tune reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also features “Scared To Live,” which he debuted on Saturday Night Live earlier this month.
It’s not an understatement to say the anticipation was high for After Hours. In fact, The Weeknd broke Apple Music’s all-time pre-add record with nearly one million album pre-adds ahead of its release.
The Weeknd will support After Hours with The After Hours Tour that includes supporting acts Sabrina Claudio, Don Toliver and XO artist Black Atlass (European leg).
The North American leg will kick off on June 11 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. From there, The Weeknd will travel to major cities including Toronto, Chicago, Brooklyn, Boston, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Nashville, before wrapping up on September 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Weeknd has teamed up with Postmates for a blog series called The Receipt, which will highlight his order history from the studio to the set of his music video “Blinding Lights.”
