Tamar Braxton makes her long-awaited return to R&B with her new single “Crazy Kind of Love.”
The first offering from the True to The Game II soundtrack reunites Braxton with famed producer Hitmaka, who co-wrote the throwback jam “The One.”
On “Crazy Kind of Love,” which features an interpolation of Whitney Houston’s Grammy-winning classic “Saving All My Love for You,” finds Braxton overtly romantically involved with a man that is irresistible in her eyes.
Braxton, who stars as Ariana in the sequel to the 2017 film, isn’t just releasing the audio for the “Crazy Kind of Love.” She is also premiering an accompanying music video that features a cameo from her current boyfriend.
This solid R&B cut is a great hold over as her faithful fans wait at the edge of their seats for her next full-length album. Braxton declared in 2017 that Bluebird of Happiness was her final album.
A year later, Braxton surprisingly showered fans with a number of archived music videos from different album eras, including “Pieces” and “The Makings of You.”
