Tamar Braxton has been relatively quiet as it relates to her music. However, the R&B songstress surprised her fans with a video for “The Makings of You,” which appears on her Bluebird of Happiness album.
Filmed in Washington, D.C, the ’70s-inspired visual (which is reminiscent of the film Claudine) finds Braxton sitting on a porch daydreaming about her man. Although the video is minimal, it ties in perfectly with the rawness of the song.
Braxton released Bluebird of Happiness in September 2017. She made it clear that it is her final album. With the release of “The Makings of You” video, we’re hoping Braxton comes out of retirement from music very soon.
