Usher is enjoying his first top 10 entry on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart in nearly four years with his latest single “Don’t Waste My Time.”
The Ella Mai-assisted duet has now entered the top 10 ropes at No. 10 after 13 weeks on the airplay chart. The Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael-Cox produced record also squeezed inside the top 10 rankings on the urban adult contemporary radio chart this week.
The R&B legend’s last best position on the Adult R&B Songs chart highlighted his Hard II Love single “Missin U.” The hurry-home track peaked at No. 7 in December 2016.
“Don’t Waste My Time,” which is seemingly the lead single off Usher’s Confessions 2 album, has collected over 12.6 million streams on Spotify.
Usher, who is featured on Summer Walker’s current urban radio top 10 hit “Come Thru,” is perfecting the sequel to 2004 diamond-selling album Confessions.
He hinted at the follow-up back in spring 2019 with various studio sessions with Cox, Dupri and Sean Garrett. There is no official release date for the new album.
