Alt-bluesman K. Roosevelt calls upon his R&B colleagues Arin Ray and BJ The Chicago Kid to lend their unique vocal shades for an upgraded version of “Bloom.”
The remix continues to capitalize on the sizzling guitar-inflected production helmed by Roosevelt, who opens the track.
BJ eases in his gospel-tinged cadences on the second verse, describing his encounter with an unnamed baddie.
Contouring the third verse with his lush vocals, Ray outlines his text exchange with a nameless female that’s been waiting for his call.
The original version “Bloom” appears on Roosevelt’s EP of the same name. The other two R&B gents have their own respective albums and projects out.
Ray issued his Phase II EP in December, while BJ dropped his Grammy-nominated album 1123 in July.
